The Merry Chiropractor

Some artists like paper and pencil,

Others prefer paint or clay,

But give me a back that is out of whack

And I tell you you’ve made my day.

Many folk are naturally gifted

At dancing as their feet go to work;

But there’s none like me that can set you free

When I teach your spine how to twerk.

Audiophiles like Classical music,

Jazz fans find jazz makes ‘em hop,

But for me nothing sounds so musically

As that snap, crackle and pop.

Customers arrive here in agony,

Though rarely they remain as before.

It’s almost a sin that when I’m done it is then

That they smile and ask me for more!

I have never been to, nor do I ever intend to go to one.

Especially after having read Robin Cook's novel, Intervention. Cook is a physician, and is the author of Coma, written in the late 70s and made into a movie.

I confer, I never wanted any one to twist my neck that way. I remember the chill it gave me watching that movie. I was very young but something resonated with me and I have been cautious about doctors since I was a child.
