When you say Saint John the Evangelist parish, I assume you mean the one in Warrenton. I have gone to confession and Mass there sometimes. It just may have fit my schedule better on a particular weekend. It is a beautiful church and I have always felt welcomed there. I live about 40 minutes away in Front Royal.
