Why Did God Create?

I had a pocket of marbles,
And gave them to some boys,
That they might laugh and play
Enjoying these simple toys.
Perhaps that’s why God made us,
Soft we are as dust,
His pockets bulging full of grace,
In Him we might then trust.
Being Good and Generous,
His life brought us to life.
He fills us with presents glamorous
Such as a husband gifts his wife.
His love…affection…wanting to want,
Gives us all we need.
More than more, an endless font,
That want should be our creed.
I believe that God is good.
That we are is also true.
What more, then, should we want,
But that we should want Him too?
