The Thoughts of God

The Thoughts of God are so profound

He knows all that can and cannot be,

And taking this and that idea

Stitched for us this reality.

Fauna and flora, stars and space,

He brought his thoughts into being—

And made for us the human race

That we might then his goodness see.

Ponder a bit of what he thinks:

That on our lowliness he bestows

Truth and Good and deepest love,

Divine friendship that ever grows.

This all in the twinkling of an eye—

And too what wonders yet might be!

Thus settled are we in His truth,

Ever loved by His Majesty.
