Tears

Have you ever had tears so large,
You could swim in them for a mile?
Or so many, you feared insanity
Would overtake in a short while?
Ever so broken, you could not be consoled,
So sad, no longer wanting to live?
Grief stricken with madness, that even though
None were at fault, you can't forgive?
They say that God is watching over us,
Keeping an eye out because we are dear.
But when heartbroken with sorrow,
Can belief remove all fear?
Take the time you need. God is faithful,
Sending healing and strength you need.
His love abides when crises are near;
Reassurance is our faith and creed.
While the world may change from day to day,
Sudden tragedies can strike you blind.
To leave you stumbling in agony,
With peace left far behind.
That is the time to give him a chance,
The moment you’re numb with grief.
For in that precious solitude,
He instills blest relief.
Yes, at that very moment,
Consoling you despite your fears;
It is the Lord that made and formed you
Who loves to wipe your tears.
