If you came here expecting professional writing, you'll be disappointed. I write for my own entertainment and self-expression. With that in mind, imagine setting out for a new world when it's time to leave the one you know.
Or better yet...feel free to add your own narrative.

Just got the news.
My bags are packed.
We’re leaving this world forever.
Our new home awaits.
But how will it be?
With Zo-ons for dogs,
Leegors for cats--
Monstrous things
Formed by low gravity;
Still, lovely pets
to keep away
Unfriendlies not yet known.
I hope the malls there
Have pots and pans;
There’s no room to pack ours.
And if there we get
The munchies…
We'll find a way to make our own.
Can you imagine volcanic lattes?
Or polarized proton veggies?
I’m not worried
About calories and such:
This place boasts
Low Density,
Half the size,
Half the mass of home--
So, I guess,
We’ll be thinner, too.
I should go shopping
For clothes before I leave.
Wonder what our home will be like?
Among the sharp, porous rocks and salty seas,
I hope we’ll be surrounded by small stars
That fill the heavens at night with light.
One thing I’ll miss is Amazon’s rapid shipping.
35 light years…guess streaming movies or
Prime packages purchased
Won’t arrive until next generation’s grandchildren.
Don’t bother to write.
Or call.
Hope I’ll see you there.
